By accessing or using wheretostudyaway.io (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. The Site is operated by CONNEX LDA ("we," "us," "our"), a company registered in Portugal, with its main office in London, UK.

wheretostudyaway.io provides an online study-abroad assessment tool that matches users with potential destination countries and universities based on self-reported academic profile data, and optional paid reports with detailed analysis. We also publish free educational blog content about studying abroad.
3. Not Educational, Legal, Immigration, or Financial Advice
The information provided through our assessment tool, reports, and blog content is for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute educational consulting, legal advice, immigration advice, or financial advice. See our Disclaimer for full details.
We are not a law firm, immigration consultancy, university admissions office, or regulated financial advisor. We do not submit university applications or visa applications, represent you before any institution or government authority, or guarantee any admission or visa outcome. Always consult qualified professionals before making study-abroad decisions.
4. User Responsibilities
When using our assessment tool, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information about your academic profile and circumstances
- Understand that the accuracy of your results depends on the accuracy of your inputs
- Not use the Site for any unlawful purpose
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy our assessment algorithm or content
- Not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit our reports or content without written permission
5. Paid Reports
Pricing: Report prices are displayed on our Reports page and are charged in EUR. Prices include applicable VAT where required.
Delivery: Reports are delivered digitally via email immediately after payment processing.
Refund policy: Because reports are digital products delivered instantly, refunds are generally not available once a report has been generated and delivered. However, if you believe the report contains a material error or was not delivered, contact us at hello@wheretostudyaway.io within 14 days and we will review your case.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, the assessment algorithm, report templates, and blog articles — is owned by CONNEX LDA or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
You may share links to our blog articles and reference our content with proper attribution. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute substantial portions of our content without written permission.
7. Data Protection
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
8. Accuracy and Updates
We cover universities and study programmes across 40+ countries and verify data against QS Rankings, official university admissions pages, and government visa portals on a quarterly basis. However, tuition fees, admission requirements, and visa policies change frequently — sometimes between review cycles.
Between reviews, some data may reflect outdated fees, requirements, or deadlines. Always verify current requirements directly with the relevant university or government authority before taking action.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CONNEX LDA and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, reliance on our content, or purchase of reports.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Site or reports shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.
10. Third-Party Links
Our content may contain links to third-party websites (university admissions portals, government immigration sites, scholarship databases). We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites. Links do not imply endorsement.
11. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Site or email. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lisbon, Portugal, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply in your country of residence.
